ORRFC Tag Tournament

Date: 17th July 2010

Venue: Geoffrey Knight Fields, Park Lane, Reigate

Team Registration: To register your team please fill in the attached PDF form here and send it to mike.kiy@latitude51.com together with your entry fee of £65.00. On the day, please register your team members at the control tent from 10:15

Competition Schedule: The competition will start at 11:00 - the pool stage will last until 2pm. The knockout stage will commence at 2.30pm with the final played at 3.30pm.

Game Format: Mixed Adult/Junior Tag 7 a-side Team Composition: Teams must be mixed male and female. There must be at least 1 female on the pitch at all times. Mini Tag 7-a-side Team composition: Teams must be mixed minis and Adults (over 45). There must be 1 adult on the pitch at all times.
Each team shall consist of a minimum of 10 players and maximum of 12.

Competition Format: Teams will be allocated into pools of five. Each pool will play a round robin tournament. Each pool game will be 5 minutes each way with 1 minute for half-time. Following the pool stage the top 8 teams will move forward to the knock-out stage of the competition, playing quarter and semi-finals, followed by a Plate Final and the Final itself. Each knock-out game will 7 minutes each way with 2 minutes for half-time. Scoring is possible only by grounding the ball on or over the tryline and within the in-goal area. Each try is worth 5 points except where a female team member carries the ball over the try line and scores, which will be worth 10 points.

Food and Drink: There will be a full bar and BBQ operating all day to provide food and drink to All competitors and supporters.

Parking: Please note that there will be limited parking in the car park on the day but it is recommened that you park off-site where possible.
